- Disorders in male gonadal function - a condition associated with a reduction or dropping of one of the functions of the testicles - the endocrine (hormonal) or exocrine (spermatogenic), or both. Hypogonadism may occur with damage to the testes themselves (primary or hypogonadotropic hypogonadism) or when the pituitary regulation or the pituitary action is affected. The hypothalamus (secondary or hypogonadotropic hypogonadism). Men's hypogonadism includes Testicular Hypofunction, Klinefelter Syndrome, etc., as well as the more rare disorders of the functions of the pituitary, adrenal and parathyroid glands.
What to expect during the examination?
During the examination, the endocrinologist takes an endocrinological history and performs a clinical examination:
- removing physical status by systems,
- appointing the necessary laboratory,
- functional and instrumental examinations and appointing treatment and training to the patient. Every patient with the endocrine disease is given an individual treatment plan; individual prophylactic plan and training. А schedule for periodic monitoring of the patient's condition and correction of the treatment plan if necessary. The department also provides individual diets for obese patients or patients with diabetes mellitus as well as training for diabetic patients.
