What is PrenaTest?
PrenaTest is a modern DNA test, which allows you to perform it at the beginning of the 9th week of the gestation, and to know earlier if your future child has some genetic abnormalities, amongst which are the Down Syndrome, the Patau Syndrome, the Edwards Syndrome, and some sex chromosome disorders. PrenaTest is applicable in cases of multiple pregnancies, and after assisted reproductive techniques.
For whom is PrenaTest recommended?
PrenaTest is suitable for every pregnant woman but is particularly recommended for women older than 35, and with ultrasound detection of chromosomal abnormalities during the first-trimester screening test. The test is used in patients with trisomy in a previous pregnancy, and to prior miscarriages.
When and how do we perform PrenaTest?
The test can be performed at the beginning of the 9th gestational week, and the blood sample is collected in Dr. Shterev Hospital. Then we send it for analysis in the German laboratory LifeCodexx.

PrenaTest is a prenatal test for chromosomal abnormalities without any risk for the pregnancy, because it uses a standard probe of the mother's blood, containing cell-free DNA (cfDNA) of the baby. The technology of PrenaTest, based on DNA analysis, detects up to 99% the presence of some fetal genetic abnormalities. The test can be performed in the 9th week of the gestation.
