What is LeucoScreen test?
Almost every ejaculate continues leukocytes with predomination of neutrophils. Leukocytospermia is the presence of leukocytes in the ejaculate above the reference values. It indicates an infection in the male reproductive system. Leukocytospermia is connected with defects in the seminal profile such as a decrease in ejaculate quantity, sperm cells concentration, and motility.

Usually, the ejaculate should not contain more than 5 million/ml round cells, and leukocytes should not be more than 1 million/ml (according to WHO - 1x106/m). When there are more than 5 million/ml round cells, a test for their differentiation is required. A correct result could be achieved with LeucoScreen test, which differentiates the round cells according to their peroxidase content.
